If you proceed with the installation, the survey fee is deducted in full from your final invoice. You do not need a finalised kitchen design to book a survey, but it is helpful to have at least a provisional layout from your chosen retailer so our surveyor can cross-reference it against the actual room dimensions. If significant discrepancies are found between the plan and the room, we will flag these to you and your retailer so they can be resolved before ordering. The earlier we are involved in the design process, the better the outcome for you.

Please ensure the kitchen space is accessible and that the surveyor can see all walls, including any that may be behind the existing kitchen if you are replacing an old one. It is also helpful to have a copy of your kitchen plan or order confirmation to hand, along with details of any appliances you intend to have fitted. Yes, the existing kitchen must be fully stripped out before we can begin fitting the new one, and this stripping-out work is included in our standard installation service at no additional charge. If there is significant remedial work to the walls, floor, or ceiling revealed after strip-out — such as damaged plaster or rotten floorboards — this will need to be addressed by a plasterer or builder before we can proceed, and we will advise you of this during the survey where possible.
