What to Expect When We Fit Your Kutchenhaus Kitchen
Kutchenhaus kitchens are ordered through the showroom and delivered direct to site; lead times can be longer than domestic retailers due to the German manufacturing process, so early ordering is advisable.
Before installation begins, we carry out a detailed pre-installation survey at your home. Our surveyor takes precise measurements of the kitchen space, reviews your Kutchenhaus plan against the actual room dimensions, and identifies any potential issues — such as out-of-plumb walls, awkward pipework routes, or ceiling height variations — before they become problems on installation day.
On installation day, we begin with a full strip-out of the existing kitchen, included at no extra charge, before carrying out a dry fit of all new carcasses to confirm the layout before anything is permanently fixed. Every door, drawer, hinge, and fitting is adjusted until it is perfectly aligned, and we carry out a full snagging walk-round with you before we consider the job complete.

Yes — we are genuinely retailer-agnostic and fit kitchens from all UK suppliers, whether you have bought from a high street showroom like Magnet or Wren, a trade supplier like Howdens or Benchmarx, an online retailer like DIY Kitchens, or a superstore like IKEA or B&Q. The only requirement is that the product is a standard UK-format carcass; we do not fit bespoke cabinetry constructed in non-standard sizes without a prior survey. Contact us if you are unsure.
Installation costs are primarily driven by the number of units, the complexity of the layout, and the number of days required, rather than the retailer. However, flat-pack formats such as IKEA require additional on-site assembly time compared to pre-built rigid carcasses, which is reflected in a slightly higher day rate for flat-pack projects. We apply a transparent modifier to our base rates for flat-pack and particularly complex premium brands, and this will be clearly itemised in your quote.
We do not have commercial relationships with any specific retailer and genuinely recommend the best option for each client based on their budget, style preferences, and priorities. For value, we often suggest Howdens or DIY Kitchens for their rigid-build quality at competitive prices. For premium projects, we frequently work with Masterclass, Symphony, and independent suppliers of German brands such as Häcker and Rotpunkt. We are happy to advise at the survey stage.
You should confirm with your retailer that all items in your order have been picked and are ready for delivery well in advance of your installation date. We recommend requesting a complete packing list and checking it against your order confirmation to ensure nothing has been missed or substituted. Any missing or damaged items should be reported to the retailer immediately so that replacements can be sourced before installation day, as delays caused by missing components can push back the entire project timeline.
